Hello. The Trimble R6 Model 2 will have full compatibility only with Trimble’s native software. However, you can also use it with SurPad 4.2 for surveying and stakeout. To do this, you need to configure the receiver to output NMEA data via Bluetooth. Once NMEA output is enabled, you can connect the receiver in SurPad 4.2 by selecting "Other" as the receiver brand and Bluetooth as the connection type. Basic GNSS functions such as point surveying and stakeout should work normally through the NMEA interface. Also, there is already a post in this community explaining how to configure a Trimble receiver for use with SurPad. Please try searching for "Trimble" — you should find a step-by-step guide that may help with the setup.
