Connect any GNSS RTK with the SurPad by TCP Client

You can connect any GNSS RTK receiver with SurPad 4.2 software using Bluetooth, Serial Port, and TCP Client methods.

TCP Client Connection Method

1. Prepare the Receiver:

• Configure your receiver to act as a TCP server. This involves setting up the receiver’s network settings, including assigning an IP address and port number.

2. Set Up the Receiver’s TCP Server:

• Access the configuration interface of your receiver (via a web interface or serial connection).

• Assign a static IP address and set a port for TCP communication (e.g., 2101).

3. Connect the Android Device:

• Ensure your Android device is connected to the same local network (Wi-Fi or wired) as the receiver.

4. Configure SurPad 4.2:

• Open SurPad 4.2.

• Navigate to the GNSS receiver setup section.

• Select "Device Manufacturer: Other" and choose "TCP Client" as the communication mode.

• Enter the IP address and port number of your receiver.

• Save the settings and connect.

5. Verify Connection:

• Ensure SurPad 4.2 is receiving data from the receiver.
