Issue with Labels and Names Not Displaying in AutoCAD After DXF Export in SurPad

Issue with Labels and Names Not Displaying in AutoCAD After DXF Export in SurPad 4.2.250120.165312

If you are using SurPad 4.2.250120.165312, you may encounter an issue where labels and names of objects do not appear in AutoCAD after exporting all layers with all labels enabled.

Cause of the Issue

When importing the DXF file into AutoCAD, you may receive a message stating that the font used in the imported file cannot be found. AutoCAD will then prompt you to replace the missing font with another one available in its library.

Solution

To ensure that your labels and names are displayed correctly, simply replace the missing font when AutoCAD asks for it during the import process. You can select any available font in AutoCAD, and the names and labels of objects will appear correctly.

Official Statement from SurPad Developers

“When you import into CAD software, if CAD prompts you to replace the font, you need to replace the font. Because now SurPad’s DXF font is no longer in the CAD software.”

“It may be a bit difficult. We have a big SurPad change in the future, and we may change the CAD library.”
